Family Photoshoot in Paris
A family photoshoot in Paris takes one to two hours and works best in the first two hours after sunrise. We walk, we play, and we photograph — the standing-still portrait is the last two minutes, not the whole session.
Families are the sessions where the plan matters most. Small children have about forty good minutes in them, so we spend those first, on the thing that matters most to you, and we keep the rest light. Nobody is asked to say cheese. We give the kids something to do and we photograph what happens next.
Where we photograph families in Paris
Room to run, and shade when you need it.
Photographer tip
Feed everyone first and bring one snack you have not shown them yet. It sounds trivial and it is the single biggest predictor of how a family session goes.
How a family session actually runs

What to wear for a family photoshoot
Pick one palette and let everyone sit inside it: cream, camel and olive, or navy, grey and white. Do not dress the family identically — it reads as a uniform in photos. One person can carry a pattern, everyone else stays solid.
Dress children for the temperature, not for the photo. A cold child is a finished session. Layers you can remove, shoes they can run in, and a spare top in the bag for whatever happens at breakfast.
Frequently asked

The first two hours after sunrise, or the two hours before sunset. With small children, the morning wins - they are at their best and the spots are empty.
One hour with young children, two hours from school age. Longer sessions with toddlers rarely produce more photos, only more tired parents.
Yes. Tell us the group size when you book so we choose a route with somewhere to sit.
That is normal and we plan for it. We photograph what the child is doing rather than trying to redirect them, and the honest frames are usually the ones parents keep.
Yes. Tell us in advance and we pick a route without stairs.
